Service Description

Welcoming Our Miraculous Babies: Imagine entering into motherhood with a warm embrace and an immediate sisterhood. Our WOMB journey supports you anytime in the first 9 months after birth to reflect, rejoice, listen, share and shape your early motherhood experience. 4 weeks of guided conversations with no more than 5 other women. One and a half hour, weekly sessions, deep discussions and opportunities for connection and dialogue, blended with guided exercises and ceremony make this a one-of-a-kind experience. Mothers with babies in arms (up to around 9 months) are welcome. Your baby is welcome and encouraged, but not required, to attend with you. Week 1 Joys and Challenges of New Motherhood: Exploring the biological changes and shifts in bodies, hearts, and minds. Sharing resources and tools for feeling nourished, held and grounded. Also pausing to consider birth stories (sharing not required), integrating surprises and using them as a guide for mothering your baby. Week 2 Exploring the Emotional Side of New Motherhood: Understanding how emotions are helping shape your experience and create attachment with your baby. Balancing cortisol, lowering anxiety and supporting healthy mindset from the beginning. Creating and also welcoming community to allow time for rest and connection with self and/or your partner. Week 3 Intimacy and Partnership in New Motherhood Challenges and invitations of co-parenting with a newborn. Relating with your partner +/or single parenting and dating and rediscovery intimacy post birth. Week 4 Honoring Our Babies + Circle Completion Letting go of expectations and adopting radical acceptance for the expression, needs and temperament of our babies. Exploring attachment further and the very early stages of infant emotional development. Ending our time together and chartering a course for connected, supported motherhood. Led by Katie DaMota, mother, parenthood mentor, lactation consultant, postpartum doula and founder of The Nest. She brings decades of experience to new mothers with calm presence and a vast tool box of resources. Investment: $125 for this first series!
