I am a natural light photographer, specializing in family portraiture, and I am most drawn to photographing mothers with their children. I moved to Nevada County in the fall of 2015 and launched my Modern Motherhood Series the following January as a way to connect with women in this community and shoot the work I'm most passionate about. It's a photo and interview series that documents women in their homes, surrounded by their children. My goal was to portray motherhood in an honest, natural way, capture the beauty of the routine and the coziness of home, and open up the conversation about motherhood. Hi, I’m Megan!  As a lifestyle photographer specializing in Maternity, Newborn and Family photography, I’m passionate about freezing those fleeting moments that make up our lives.

Married for 16 years to my wonderful husband, I’m the proud mom of two amazing daughters. Once I became a mother, I quickly realized how swiftly time flies—one moment you’re bringing home a newborn, and the next, you’re waving goodbye as they head off to kindergarten.

In those early days, I began capturing everyday moments and milestones, preserving memories that hold a special place in my heart. After spending time as a teacher and a stay-at-home mom, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a lifestyle photographer.

I want to celebrate the love and connection that families share during those precious early years. It’s my joy to help families capture their unique stories, because there’s nothing quite like the bond between a mother and her children.
