Service Description

Infant sleep is such a big, hard topic. We share this class because we care about babies, parenting and your continued trust and attachment. We'll discuss gentle parenting tips and information to help you make informed parenting decisions whether you choose to bed share or support your baby for more independent sleep. Topics Covered: Biologically Normal Development for Infants from birth - 24 months Reasons Why Babies Wake Sleep Progressions Strategies for Parents to Get More Sleep Nighttime Parenting Approaches Bedsharing vs Independent Sleep Evolution of Sleep Training Short and Long Term Risks of Extinction Crying This class is not designed to set you up for sleep training. It's not taught by a sleep consultant or from the perspective of any specific sleep program. It's designed to share information so you can make the best decisions for your family keeping in mind that all families are different and there isn't one, prescribed solution or strategy but rather important relationships developing. It's taught by a caring professional who has participated in infant sleep conferences and has been helping babies to sleep for many years. Katie DaMota makes infant sleep her second favorite topic after breastfeeding. It's her goal to help you mindfully and lovingly find solutions to the best night's sleep possible. This conversation is part of our monthly workshops offered on the First Wednesday of the Month 11-12:30. Drop-in is also welcome Solid Foods: July and October Baby Centered Sleep: August and November Weaning with Love: September and December
