Your Prenatal Guide to Successful Infant Feeding

Are you curious, excited, or even a little anxious about feeding your baby? Join our conversational prenatal class led by an experienced lactation consultant to address all your questions and concerns. We believe that confidence, combined with realistic expectations, sets the stage for the most positive feeding journey. In this supportive session, we'll explore: ▪️Preparing Your Body & Home: Learn about antenatal hand expression, pumps and accessories, and essential remedies. ▪️The Crucial First Hours: Understand the golden hour, the amazing breast crawl, and newborn feeding reflexes. ▪️Decoding Your Baby's Needs: Discover newborn behavior and communication, including recognizing hunger and fullness cues. ▪️Building a Strong Milk Supply: Gain insights into establishing and maintaining long-term milk production. ▪️Mastering the Fundamentals: Get hands-on tips for optimal latch, comfortable positioning, and finding what works for you and your baby. ▪️Building Your Village: Learn how to effectively utilize your support team. ▪️Staying Healthy: Understand common infections and how to be prepared. ▪️Practical Skills: Get guidance on pumping, proper milk storage, and when and how to supplement. ▪️Nourishing Yourself: Learn the importance of self-care and nutrition while breastfeeding. ▪️Unique Feeding Journeys: We'll also discuss considerations for feeding more than one baby and supporting special needs infants, including preterm babies and those with cleft lip/palate. Location: Nourishing Baby & Yourself is offered virtually and in-person. All in-person dates will be held in our classroom: 509 South Auburn St, Grass Valley Bundle & Save: Use POSTPARTUM to receive 15% discount when you book Beyond Birth and Nourishing Baby & Yourself together. Instructor: Led by Katie DaMota, a seasoned Lactation Consultant and Parenting Coach with extensive experience supporting new families. Katie has built a reputation by consulting with families and working hard to solve the challenge that arise with the complexity of infant feeding, sleep concerns, and early parenting. She holds a master's degree in Maternal and Child Nutrition and Lactation from the University of California, Davis as well as held an international certification in lactation consulting for 15 years. Cancellation Policy

You will be billed the registration for this class once the minimum number of participants has been reached. In the event the minimum isn't met, you will be offered a pre-recorded version of the class. We know life happens and changes need to be made. For the support of our staff, we ask that you make them at least 24 hours before class.
