Service Description

The ancient Indian practice of yoga combines meditation, breathing, affirmation, and movement to make a meaningful connection with your body, mind, and spirit. This Prenatal Yoga Class is a wonderful opportunity to embrace this exciting stage of life. Classes focus on nurturing the ever changing pregnant body, learning useful tools for labor and getting some much needed relaxation. You can use these practices to become more consciously aware of the amazing changes your body is going through and with these transformative changes, can come some less than ideal manifestations (nausea, body aches and pains, swelling, anxiety). In this yoga practice, we will work with specific poses that can alleviate these experiences, so that you can more joyfully enjoy your pregnancy. Safe for pregnancy and suitable for complete beginners through advanced yogis, these classes and are here to hold space for you and your growing family. We will practice together: Mindful Movement: Gentle yoga postures and movements to release tension in the physical body, become more present with body sensation, and find deep relaxation Increase Strength and Flexibility: Postures to strengthen the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, as well as, positions to open the hips and pelvis Energizing Exercises: Exercises to consciously draw cosmic energy into the body and direct it to specific body parts. When you can control your energy you can also control your thoughts, helping you develop radiant well being and positive habits and attitudes. Breathing Exercises to Prepare for Birth: Learn to focus on your breathing, and how you can use the breath during the labor process Calm Anxiety with Guided Meditation: Guided meditation will help you soothe anxiety and overwhelm Visualizations: Use clear, direct, and uplifted concentration of the mind to go beyond our current realities. As the power of our thoughts increases, so does the power of magnetic attraction to bring us to a desired result Gratitude Practices: How to find beauty and gratitude in the current moment Yoga Nidra: Guide through a progressive muscle relaxation meditation to help you sleep soundly Connect to the Divine Mother in You: Cultivate calmness, radiance, and joy to welcome your baby into this world with warmth and good health.
