Price

$225

Duration

2 Weeks- Tuesday Evenings

About the Course

This series focuses on the need-to-know information on normal labor and birth and how to identify and support every stage and phase with practical, hands-on and emotional tools and techniques. It is a hybrid series which includes segments from our comprehensive childbirth class as well as one of our most popular classes, Comfort Skills for an Easier Labor.

Class One: We will review the signs and progression of normal, physiologic labor and birth. We will also explore the hormones of labor and discuss tips and techniques for partners and support people.

Class Two: A deep dive into comfort measures. We will explore and practice practical, natural pain relief techniques to facilitate a calm, comfortable environment that supports normal, physiologic labor and birth. Our second class includes a comfort measures rehearsal where you and your partner will get to put what you've learned to practice while working through "contractions" as a team!

As a bonus, attendees will receive exclusive access to a pre-recorded class that reviews medical inductions, interventions, and pain management options that they can watch on their own time as well as a recorded comfort measures rehearsal they can follow along with at home to continue practicing for labor.

This series is best for families planning to birth at home or at a birth center and serves as a great refresher for families who have had babies before. The course will not cover any newborn basics or breastfeeding. Book one of our accessory classes at 15% off with coupon code: BirthBundle, to learn these with Katie DaMota, LC.
