Village in Motion: Music + Movement

Service Description

"Village in motion" is a program intended to be shared between children and their caregivers, and lovingly facilitated by me. My name is Kristi Keefe, (KK), and I am an early childhood educator of 30 years and a lifelong music and movement lover. Together as a village, we will move, play, dance, and sing together once a week for this six-week session. My dream is for grown-ups and children to re-discover the ancient ritual of moving together in community, and to benefit from the physical and mental health benefits of this intimacy-building form of play and self-expression. Children are naturally embodied, but many adults have become painfully disembodied. This can sometimes make playtime with your little one feel difficult and unnatural, leaving many caregivers feeling discouraged and disconnected. Let me guide you back into your bodies through musical games, songs, and expressive motion. Then take these songs home with you and use them as tools for a deeper connection with your children, family, and friends!
