In this workshop, Motherhood Nutrition & Wellness, Angelica Baraona, a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, will guide you through ancestral nourishing traditions that support healthy conception, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and beyond. The discussion will focus on how to sustain a traditional foods diet in our modern world, providing optimal nutrition for Mother & Baby. Join this educational seminar and learn how to set a foundation for lifelong health and how to obtain critical nutrients from natural foods, as well as easy swaps for everyday application. We host Angelica each season for an ongoing discussion on nourishing diets. A companion, follow along cooking video is also included to walk you through her suggested seasonal menu. Session 2 (October 28th) - Focus on the "wellness" aspect. Nutrition is an important foundation, but we want to also look at our environmental exposures, stress, holistic health management, and other lifestyle factors that ensure a healthy perinatal season. Session 3 (January 13th) - Deeper dive into application! Practical tips for in the kitchen and for leading a healthy lifestyle. Session 4 (April 14th) - Feeding littles! Starting (or continuing with) the solid food journey to support our youngsters by setting them up for health and success. We will also talk about picky eaters and other concerns when it comes to nourishing our children and families. Angelica Baraona is a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (Nutritional Therapy Association Graduate, class of 2020) who believes in the wisdom of ancestral traditions, and wants to empower Mothers and their families to find health and well-being through the modern-day application of these often-forgotten customs. Dedicated to using food for healing, Angelica advocates and educates on the importance of sourcing sustainable, local, nutrient-dense foods and on cultivating the necessary lifestyle practices to foster innate healing. Angelica's practice serves to support Mothers during the perinatal season, and beyond, to establish a foundation of lifelong health that they can pass along to their children and families.
