Weekly, Outdoor Fitness: Pregnancy - Toddlerhood

Mamas- grab your babies, tennies, and a drink and meet us at Empire Mine Park at the Union Hill Parking Lot in Grass Valley on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 for mingling, movement, and a bit of music. This class features an outdoor, mostly-shaded hike through the park with interval exercises and movement mixed in that are designed to safely support and strengthen pre and post-partum bodies and bodies caring for little ones. Each session will also feature a fun song with movement that you can learn and do at home with your little to help you get some movement into each day. Who: This class is open to all families from pregnancy through toddler years. Please bring either a stroller or baby carrier Where: Park at the Union Hill Parking Lot/trail head off of Gold Hill Dr for Empire Mine Park in Grass Valley, Ca What to Bring: Water, snacks for your little, sun protection, closed-toe shoes, and a stroller or baby carrier (Pro tip: bring both in case baby changes preference mid-walk) so that your hands can be free to do the movements. *The path is not paved, so consider that when choosing which stroller to bring and shoes to wear When: We meet Tuesday mornings at 9:30 and will begin with a warm-up close to the trailhead so last-minute blow outs won't have you missing out How Much: $15 per session or $10 for Nest Subscribers This outdoor fitness class and social opportunity is led by Maddie Buckmaster. To streamline things, please register here initially to read/agree to the waiver (though I'll have paper available in case you forget). She taught infants and toddlers 6 months-3 years at an NAEYC accredited school through college as she obtained her teaching credentials. Since 2013, she's had a chance to put each of her 3 credentials to work with experience with K-12 students, teaching 4th and 2nd grade most recently at Grass Valley Charter School. She began Pilates in 2009 and became a BASI Pilates graduate in February 2020. She is certified in pre/post-natal Pilates and after having her first child in 2022 is enthusiastic about helping support women during pregnancy and in their recovery after birth with safe movement.
